It’s been a week and a half since Lady broke her foot. Dr. Val was correct when she said Lady wouldn’t need more pain medication. On Wednesday, I began letting her out of the cage to take a brief walk. On Wednesday, Lady limped pronouncedly. On Thursday, her limp was a little less pronounced. On Friday, she limped but also jumped up onto the trunk and tried to get into the window (where Rossie was sitting). I picked Lady up and put her back in the cage. Today, she didn’t come out right way, but she did come out and got some chin rubs. Mr. L put her in my lap, and I brushed her. She liked that. I put her back down, she limped around, and after a few minutes, she put herself back in the cage. Her foot looks good, but it’s still pretty sensitive. As she tolerates it, she’ll be allowed more time out of the cage each day.
